The much-anticipated Noida International Airport will open in September 2024, according to UP Chief Secretary Durga Shankar Mishra. Its operator is also confident that the project will be finished within its timeline. Daniel Bircher, CEO of Zurich Airport Asia, stated at the Global Investors Conference 2023 in Lucknow that Noida International Airport will be a real embodiment of Swiss efficiency and Indian friendliness. It is expected that the development of the airport will boost job prospects and contribute to a significant increase in tourism.

Noida International Airport will be connected to the Delhi-Varanasi High-Speed Rail. Travel from Delhi to Noida Airport would take a little over 20 minutes. In its first phase, the airport will be able to accommodate 12 million annual passengers. Its goal is to have a 70 million passenger capacity in 2040.
