Shirdi airport's new terminal building will be commissioned in May 2024

The new Shirdi airport terminal building will open in May 2024, according to the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC). Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis instructed officials to immediately complete all the processes pertaining to the construction of the airport's new terminal building. The design for the new terminal building is finalised. The actual construction work will begin in April 2023. According to one MADC official, the airport's overall construction and commissioning are expected to take 18 months. Shirdi airport was inaugurated on October 2017 and was one of the fastest-growing airports of the MADC before the pandemic.
