For the $10 billion Sangley Point International Airport (SPIA) project in Cavite, which is expected to start construction in 2023, the provincial government of Cavite will proceed with the scheduled signing of the joint venture agreement with SPIA Development Consortium.
Cavite Governor Juanito Victor Remulla stated in a text message sent over the weekend that the joint venture development agreement would be signed on September 14 with all parties involved.
The long-delayed Sangley Airport project aims to build a completely contemporary, top-notch, environmentally friendly airport that can accommodate the expected rise in demand for air travel over the following 30 to 40 years. – Iglesias, Myla
