Asia-Pacific recovery momentum expected to continue: IATA regional head

Through the end of the year, it is anticipated that Asia-Pacific carriers will maintain their recovery momentum and achieve profitability; but, ensuring that capacity "can catch up" with demand will be a significant problem.

The Asia-Pacific area is anticipated to recover between 70 and 73% of pre-pandemic traffic by year's end, according to Philip Goh, regional vice president of IATA, a major improvement from earlier this year but still lagging behind most other regions.
