MANAGING COSTS

Monetary, Environmental, Power

“The Asian aviation market is no doubt a growing market, with incredible potential for airport expansion and upgrades,” observed Steven Ng, Regional Sales Director (APAC) of ITW GSE, and focusing specifically on the point that airlines and airports in APAC have strategies on the electrification of ground support equipment. This, largely based on the company’s successful delivery of a substantial number of its GPU and PCA units in the region over the past couple of years, covering, among others, big projects in China, Japan, Korea, and Thailand".

“We are working on many more future jobs that will start to materialize in the region,” Steven elaborated, noting that 2021 will see the company continue to focus on their lineup of clean, green, and intelligent products.

This will include the battery driven mobile ITW GSE 7400 eGPU power range, replacing diesel powered GPUs with eGPUs for any type of aircraft, and save 95% on CO2 emissions.

A significant addition that was added mid-2020 to offer the industry an acceleration on sustainable development, is ITW GSE’s financial solution, “Power by the Hour” (PBTH), a fixed-rate subscription that provides instant access to green equipment without major capital investments.

A poignant advantage is PBTH’s flexibility, where customers only pay for what they need, in addition to the subscription being easily adapted to suit new requirements. “This is a true win-win situation mitigating any post pandemic liquidity issues, especially for airlines and ground handling companies,” said Steven.
