The Noida International Airport (NIA) will be under construction starting in August. This development work will be for the improvement of the airport's main terminal building and runway. The estimated completion of the project will be in October 2024. This deadline is to meet the airport's scheduled operation of commercial flights.
NIA awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract to Tata Project Limited (TPL). This initial project is part of the 40-year concession period of Zurich AG. According to the development plan, the entire airport is projected to be built over four phases by the end of 2061. The final construction of the airport should allow it to serve up to 70 million passengers.
