The Department of Budget and Management assures that there will be funds allocated for the eight airport projects nationwide. The funding will be under the 2023 General Appropriations Act (GAA). The Budget Secretary Amenah Pangandaman says that "This budgetary allocation seeks to support the construction, rehabilitation, and improvement of the country’s transportation infrastructure, particularly in the aviation sector." Pangandaman also says that these airport projects should be able to drive growth in various sectors, including tourism, trade, and employment. The Civil Aviation Authority also recommends an upgrade of the country's air traffic management system.
