Mumbai’s Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has recently installed 2D barcode readers at the entry gates of Terminals 1 and 2. This initiative aims to improve passenger flow and customer satisfaction at the airport. CISF officers will be on the front line of the terminal entry gates starting January 26, 2023, to help passengers scan the barcodes of their tickets.

The installation of the 2D barcode readers is not only for security enhancement but also for efficiency improvement. According to reports, Mumbai Airport handles 48 million passengers per year. A Digi Yatra-based check-in facility is also available at the airport.
